How do I turn off X2 in my modem?

Basically, you need to add "S32=34" to your modem's initialization string. Here's how:
  1. Go to "My Computer".
  2. Double-click on the "Dial-up Networking" folder.
  3. Right-click on the "Halifax.Com" icon and select "Properties".
  4. Then, click the "Configure" button.
  5. Click the "Connection" tab and the "Advanced" button. The following screen will appear.
