On June 20, 1996, a group of pilots and local businessmen met at the airport and talked about forming an airport support group to promote local aviation. Many ideas came forth, with the main focus being a group to aid the local community in the continued operation of the Wm. M. Tuck airport. We felt that we should be a support/activist group in the economic and industrial development of our community in which the airport serves an important role. The purpose of this Association is to promote and preserve safe and efficient operations of the general aviation airport system to the benefit of the community and to advance public understanding and interest in the beneficial use and utilization of aviation through educational and charitable means. If you would like to become part of William M. Tuck Airport Association, please contact one of our members or call Linda Clark at the airport (804) 572-9961. The William. M. Tuck Airport Association meets the first Thursday of each month, at 7 p.m. in the conference room at the Tuck Airport. Our annual dues are $20.
